When I originally brought my cat here for her physical exam, the vet was cold, but I trusted their medical credentials for a routine spay. However, the true lack of professionalism came to light during the surgical process. They ran blood work ahead of her surgery and never bothered to call me with the results; I had to proactively call them just to be dismissively told it was "good" with zero details. To make matters worse, it took pulling teeth for two days just to get them to email me her past exam records. When I picked her up from her spay surgery, the front office was literally about to sign me over, hand me my cat, and let me walk out the door without a single word of guidance. I had to stop them and ask basic questions myself just to find out she might vomit from the anesthesia. They completely failed to hand me a physical copy of post-op instructions at discharge. They finally emailed the recovery instructions later, but only because I had been aggressively demanding my records. When my cat managed to slip her rigid plastic e-collar over the weekend, the after-hours text response from the vet was incredibly dismissive. As a solo owner with no help, I was told to "just find someone to hold her down" or drive a frantic, un-sedated cat to an expensive emergency room because "they were closed and couldn't help over the weekend." The vet only shifted her tone and offered to help call a sedative into a human pharmacy AFTER I explicitly stated I would be reporting their practice. They do not care about your pet’s safety; they only care about damage control when they are legally and professionally threatened. Throughout the entire process—from the initial consultation to post-operative discharge—the clinic staff and Dr. K exhibited extreme administrative negligence, forcing me to aggressively pull basic, critical information out of them at every turn. The timeline of their failures includes: 1. Lack of Financial and Medical Transparency: During the routine pre-surgical consultation, I was never provided with a standard quote sheet or any clear pricing for the spay procedure. Furthermore, following her physical examination, the clinic failed to provide me with a summary of the exam findings. 2. Withholding of Pre-Surgical Bloodwork and Records: Prior to the surgery, bloodwork was performed to ensure my cat was healthy enough to undergo anesthesia. The clinic completely failed to provide me with these critical results. I had to explicitly call the office and aggressively demand that they email me her physical examination records and bloodwork notes. 3. Zero Post-Operative Discharge Instructions: Following a major surgical procedure, a pet owner is legally and ethically supposed to be sent home with a detailed post-op checklist and recovery roadmap. This clinic provided absolutely nothing. They failed to supply a checklist of what to expect, guidelines on managing her environment, or any warnings regarding common recovery complications. 4. Failure to Secure the Patient: The clinic sent my cat home with a highly unstable and insecure Elizabethan collar (cone) without a single warning that cats can easily shuck them off. Because I was completely unguided and left on high alert in the dark, my cat successfully removed the cone while experiencing post-anesthesia hyperactivity. This directly placed a fresh, post-op animal at severe risk of tearing open her major abdominal incision and required immediate emergency containment on my part to prevent evisceration. As a client, I should never have to cross-examine a medical staff just to receive basic care instructions and my own pet's legal medical files. This clinic's absolute lack of communication is a profound danger to patient safety and a violation of professional veterinary standards. Desired Resolution: I require a formal written response from management addressing why standard discharge protocols were omitted, why medical and financial records were withheld, and a partial refund for the extreme administrative failures that directly endangered my pet's post-surgical recovery

No wonder there are so many 5-start reviews. Dr. K helped me with moving my dog from US to India. There are a ton of processes involved and Dr. K and the crew helped me with preparing my dog for the travel to be compliant with all the rules imposed by US and India. They also patiently helped me with my doubts and applied for an EU certificate on an emergency basis. I simply have to say that they are the best pet hospital in town.

Dr. K thought far ahead, not just for this one trip. She made sure Tao's EU vaccination history carried forward properly under US and Philippine requirements, and since the Philippines is high-risk for dog rabies, she set Tao up with a US-issued rabies certification before we leave — so future trips back to the US for holidays will be smooth instead of starting over each time. She also mapped the entire export sequence (USDA health certificate, CDC rabies certification, Philippine import permit) and made it efficient by combining appointments and building in a buffer for USDA's mail-back endorsement process. Ally and Crystal were equally essential — scheduling around tight windows, keeping records organized, and making sure nothing slipped through the cracks with several appointments and documents moving at once. The whole office worked like a team that understood what international relocation actually requires. With our flight on the 6th, the team is finalizing Tao's certificates now, and I'm confident it'll all be ready given how carefully this was planned from the start. Highly recommend TruVet to anyone facing an international move with a pet.

We came for an international travel health certificate for our cat. Vet was knowledgeable and everyone was super gentle and kind. My cat liked the doctor 😉. Cost was fair and I never felt they were trying to charge us unnecessarily which we found to be the case in many other places in Dallas.

My dog needed urgent visit and I received excellent care as a walk-in as well as a follow up a couple of days later - everyone is wonderful in that office. Highly recommended
